You want to move into this century and put your NextGen events online, but you can’t. At least you think you can’t because of that required signature you need for liability/medical release for minors.
The solutions you’ve looked at have been to expensive or complicated.
I wanted to share a resource that I came across this year that has fixed this issue for me. It’s Approve Me’s “WP e-Signature” service. We subscribed this year and started using it to sign up students for our Afterschool Program and NextGen ministry events.
There are a couple conditions…
1) You need to have a WordPress-hosted website, which is currently one of the most popular web platforms. But if you aren’t using it, this option won’t work for you.
2) The price. The first tier currently puts you back $150 annually, which might sound like a lot, but it isn’t if you compare it to many of the other online solutions out there, many of which start at 30-a-month or closer to $360 annually.
And here’s the thing: if you play your cards right, you can probably get other departments in the church to split the cost from their budgets. Once you split $12.50-a-month between a two or three departments (like the children’s, youth, and media departments — men’s and women’s groups like to get forms online, too), the cost isn’t as overwhelming. We ended up splitting the cost with our children’s ministry department.
We began to use it easily directly after signing up for the service without issue. It’s incredibly user friendly on both the back-end and for the end-user. I highly recommend it you give it a try. You can demo the service directly through their website at approveme.com.
