Well, it happened again. A couple of months ago I heard that someone said it… again. I’m not sure my heart can handle this. Seriously, it’s 2017 and we’re still hearing people talk like this? People still think like this? I. Can’t. Even….
Alright, here’s the deal… no matter who you are or how many times you’ve traveled around the sun:
You are NOT too old to do what God is calling you to do!
You aren’t! There is no age limitation on kids, youth, or young-adult ministries. There just isn’t! If you are built for a young-person focused ministry, if your heart burns for younger generations, you could be 100+ and still perform not only appropriately, but better than many younger people.
So today, on this platform, I stand tall. I stand proud! And I shout to the masses, “Older people can minister to younger people!”
Because they can. We can. And if we are called and we have passion for those we intend to minister to, we will succeed! Because God know us and has formed us for such a people as these.
What would you say to someone who has been told they are too old for NextGen ministry? Feel free to share your thoughts and ideas in the comment’s section. Seriously! We’re all in this together.
